Remember BP Nutrition testing protein K made from North Sea Oil. They were also into Black Tiger farming back in the 1980’s. BP Nutrition became Nutreco.
But not a game changer technology.
Now BP Ventures have arisen to invest in protein from methane gas. Calysta are already on the market for several years now.
Very good to see but not a “game changer” for aquaculture.
Interesting equivalence of FeedKind production to replace (fishmeal from) wild caught fish by a factor of 3 can be, but is not, explained as, the dehydration going from wet fish to a dry fishmeal.
